The first month sets the tone for a new team member. Many people drop out because they feel lost. A simple onboarding plan helps them start with confidence. Adapt this 30-day plan to your company and your team.
Week 1: Welcome and set up
Welcome the person personally. Help them read the official policies and set up their account. Ask why they joined and what they want in the next 90 days. Write the answers down.
Week 2: Learn the basics
Share the company's official training materials on products, rules and the compensation plan. Teach one simple skill, such as how to start a conversation with a friend about the products.
Week 3: Practice
Role-play a short conversation together. Help them make a small list of people to contact, and agree on a realistic activity goal for the week.
Week 4: Review
Look at what happened: what worked, what felt hard and what to change. Set goals for month two.
Throughout the month
- Hold a short weekly check-in.
- Answer questions quickly.
- Remind them of the company's rules on what they can say about products and income.
- Celebrate small wins.
What to avoid
Do not overload them with information or push them to recruit in the first week. Do not promise results. Teach them to be honest about the business from the start.
A good sign
A new member who can explain, in their own words, what they are doing and why is well on the way.
